Hey, it's Annie Laurie. :-)

Even as a non-music-person, I must say that the music in the trailer for The Social Network really was effective in shoving me toward wanting to watch the film. I couldn't not pay attention to that trailer (which I happened to see in theaters four times in a week and a half), largely because of the way the music opens it. My emotions were engaged immediately, the lyrics intrigued me, and by the middle of the trailer I cared about seeing the film itself.

(Not that I will, being that it's not showing in many parts of Russia - they have their own Facebook-type-networking site - but, still, the marketing was effective.)

Basically what I'm saying is that even as someone not normally deeply attuned (no pun intended, unless you thought that was funny, in which case go ahead and give me the credit there) to music, I did notice the way the music in this trailer caught me.
